John Wilkinson was born in 1690 in Rhode Island. He was the son of John Wilkinson and Deborah Whipple.

John married in 1718 Rebecca Scott who was born Feb.11, 1698/9. She is the daughter of Sylvanus Scott and Joanna Jenks.

John Wilkinson and Rebecca (Scott) Wilkinson had 8 children in Smithfield Rhode Island:
