Hi

Wish you a Happy New Year. May 2018 bring you all you need to be happy.

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As I always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Thank you for being a Wikitreer,

Guy Constantineau - Wikitree leader

Hi!

I'm Eowyn, a WikiTree Mentor and Team Member. Our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person. The farther back in your tree, the more likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile. Try to add an estimated date and place of birth, at the very least, a country, for each person. This helps in searches. Last but not least, try to source each profile as you go.

We also have a naming standard here.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.

Do you have any questions I can help with?

P.S. Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles. Thanks!
Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree. This gets more important the further back you go, we have many projects covering historically significant ancestors, if your tree goes back far enough you might start interacting with them. Check the list of projects from the find menu, top right.

Have fun!

Thank you, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree. Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages. VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after. Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please try very hard not to add any duplicates to our shared tree. Hope you enjoy WikiTree! Donna
The mission and rules sound good! I'd like to contribute. I have hardcopy info for my family tree that I'd like to add. Also, I'd like to use wikitree to facilitate additions from relatives of mine who are remote from my locality. Thanks.
