Frederick Wilkinson was born in Lancashire, England.

Frederick was born in 1895, son of Frederick Wilkinson and Mary Newton.

Fred was born on January 14, 1895, son of Frederick Wilkinson and Mary Ellen Nellie Newton. His date of birth is noted on his baptismal record, and confirmed on his death record.

Frederick Wilkinson was baptised on 13 Feb 1895 at St James' Church, Collyhurst, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom[1] His Father was Frederick Wilkisnon, Publican and his Mother was Mary Ellen.

In 1901 Fredrk Wilkinson (aged 6) Nephew is living in the household of John Barton Yates and Eliza Ann Toulson Yates on Swedley Road in Manchester, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom[2]

In 1911 Frederick is living in Ashton upon Mersey, Cheshire, England, United Kingdom with his Uncle and Auntie - Benjamin and Betsy Chadwick. He is working as a Butcher's Assistant.[3]

Fred was married to Matilda Cryne in 1915.

Together they had the following children:

Frederick can be found in the Canada, Ocean Arrivals (Form 30A), 1919 - 1924 collection on Ancestry. He and Matilda immigrated to Canada in July 1921. His reason for immigrating was to be with his parents, who were already in Ontario. He was Destined to: Mother and Step Father, Mr. S. Mumby, Port McNichol, Ontario. His nearest relative in England was his brother, B. (or D.) H. Wilkinson, 14 Granby Street, Davenport, Devon.

He can also be found in the Voters Lists for Ontario, residing in Port McNicholl. In 1935 he was employed as a checker, and in 1940, as a labourer.

Fred died at home at 92 Borland Street, Orillia, Ontario, on February 25, 1944. His death record notes he was born in England on January 14, 1895, the son of Frederick Wilkinson and Mary Ellen Newton. The informant on the record was his wife, Matilda (Cryne) Wilkinson, of the same address.

His cause of death was neurogenic sarcoma.

Fred and Matilda were buried at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Cemetery (Block A), in Orillia, Ontario, Canada.
