Biography
Gwendoline Florence Wilkinson's birth was registered in the September quarter of 1891 at Lambeth. [1]. She was the daughter of Charles Wilkinson, an Optician. . In 1901, the family were living at 29, Derby Street, Moss Side, Chorlton, Lancashire, England, the household comprised of Charles Wilkinson an certified Ophthalmic Optician b.1864 in St John, London and Florence L.S. Wilkinson (Florence Louisa S. Alldridge) b. 1871 Weston Super Mare, Somerset, England and Gwendoline F. Wilkinson b.1892 at Upper Norwood. [2]
On the 1911 census, Gwen was living at 20 Westow Street Upper Norwood S E, Croydon, Surrey, England with her grandfather Stratten Alldridge aged 68, a retired Schoomaster who was born in Marylebone, London. Also in the household was her uncle Richard Alldride aged 39, a Stores Assistant Toys And Games, who was born in Somerset Westow E Mare and uncle Frederick Alldridge aged 34, a Insurance Clerk born in Norwood. Gwen was 19 years of age and a housekeeper, born in Norwood. [3]
George Franklin Kaenel married Gwedoline Wilkinson in the September quarter of 1936 in the Bromley, Kent registration district. [4]
In 1939, Frank (Name shown as George F. Keanal) and Gwen were living at 19 Belvedere Road , Penge U.D., Kent, England, Frank's a gardener and Gwen works in unpaid domestic duties. Also in the house were Edward and Gertrude Southam. [5]
In 1952, Gwen was a member of the Upper Norwood Townswoman's Guild, where she was Chairman of the choir. [6]
Gwen died in 1975 at Sydenham, London, England, United Kingdom, and was buried at Elmers End Cemetary, Beckenham. Her death was registered in the December quarter of 1975 in the Bromley registration district. [7]
