IMMIGRATION. 3 Sep 1835. On the LLOYDS, departed London 1 May 1835, arrived Hobart Town, VDL (Tasmania) 3 Sep 1835.

ARTICLE (1899). How he Missed £60,000.— Boyd Cunningham was before the Durban (Natal) court recently to show cause why he should not he committed to gaol for neglecting an order of the court as to payment by instalment, of £50 due to Robert Greening, solicitor. Mr. Greening said the money had been advanced to Cunningham on an assurance that his sisters, the Countess of Eglinton and Lady Hanbury-Lennox, would repay the amount, but nothing had been forthcoming. Cunningham's wife had just given birth to a daughter, whereas if the child had been a son he would have come into £60,000. It was decided to postpone the case for a month. — Johannesburg Star.
