Clara Ethel Wilkinson was born on April 4, 1899 at Utica, Oneida, New York.^[1] Her father worked for the New York Central Railroad, and moved the family to Albany by 1910.^[2][3] She worked for the Mobil Oil Co., and retired in 1964.^[4] She died on July 13, 1972 at Hartford, Connecticut.^[5][6]

Obituary: MRS. C. ETHEL BRYAN. Hartford, Conn. Mrs. C. Ethel Wilkinson Bryan, 73, of 31 Annawan St., widow of Arthur W. Bryan, died Thursday in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Utica and had lived in Hartford most of her life. She had been employed by the Mobil Oil Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1964. Mrs. Bryan was a member of the Broadview Community Church and its Womens Club. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Joseph T. Gradante, Hartford, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Stevens, Utica. The funeral will be at 11 Monday from the Richard W. Sheehan Funeral Home, West Hartford, with burial in Cedar Will Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday.^[7]
