Biography

Hannah was born in 1798. She is the daughter of John Wilklow and Jemima Trowbridge. She passed away in 1862.Hannah Wilklow was born on 15 June 1798 in New Paltz, Ulster Co., NY. She was baptized on 12 July 1798 at New Paltz Reformed Church in New Paltz, NY. She died on 2 April 1862 in Wethersfield, Wyoming Co., NY. Hannah was buried at Smith Corners Cemetery in Wethersfield, NY.

George Saxton was born on 17 February 1786 in Ulster Co., NY. He was a farmer. George and Hannah moved from New Paltz, NY to Java Center, NY about 1825. George mentioned his granddaughter, Emily Saxton, in his will. He died on 8 April 1862 in Wethersfield, NY. George was buried at Smith Corners Cemetery in Wethersfield, NY.

Uriah Saxton was born on 28 November 1820 in New Paltz, NY. He was married to Laura A. Bottsford. Uriah died on 6 October 1888 in Wyoming Co., NY. He was buried at Smith Corners Cemetery in Wethersfield, Wyoming Co., NY. 68 iv. Benjamin Saxton was born on 20 September 1823 in New Paltz, NY. 69 v. Nelson S. Saxton was born on 16 October 1827 in New Paltz, NY. He died on 10 February 1902 in Hunt, Livingston Co., NY. He was buried at Pennycook Cemetery in Portage, Livingston Co., NY.19

Nelson married Hannah Lane who was born on 14 November 1823. She died on 9 April 1895 in Hunt, Livingston Co., NY. She was buried at Pennycook Cemetery in Portage, NY.19

Nelson and Hannah had the children; Charles, George U., Nelson, Harriet and poss. others. vi. Washington Saxton was born on 13 March 1830 in New York State. He died on 10 March 1891 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. vii. Huldah Saxton was born on 23 March 1833 in Wyoming Co., NY. She was married a Mr. Curtis and a Mr. Durfee. She died on 6 April 1904 in Orangeville, Wyoming Co., NY. viii. Daniel F. Saxton was born on 23 July 1835 in Wyoming Co., NY. He died on 12 March 1914 in Portland, Ionia Co., MI. Daniel F. Saxton and Jennie Nash were married on 28 November 1889 in Portland, Ionia Co., MI. Jennie Nash, the daughter of Markus Nash and Lucy Ann Smith, was born in 1859 in Clarksville, Allegany Co., NY. ix. John G. Saxton was born on 21 December 1839 in Wyoming Co., NY. He died in 1922 in Portland, Ionia Co., MI. He married Laura Barton. [1]
