French Williams was born May 15, 1887, in Limestone, Washington, Tennessee, United States, the youngest child of Thomas Williams and Margaret (Klepper) Williams. He married Bessie Gray Osborne on December 26, 1907 in Rockingham, North Carolina[1] and they had two children, a son, George French "Frank" Jr, and Margaret Osborne. His wife Bessie died in 1928.
He married Doris Louise Walker on August 17, 1930 in Lunenburg, Virginia.[2]
"Doris died in 1956 in Richmond, Virginia, and he married again in 1958 to Elizabeth Bull Kirby in Victoria, Virginia.[3]
French died April 25, 1962 in Victoria, Lunenburg, Virginia [4] and was buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Lunenburg. [5]
