You manage 3 profiles married to Tilmon Pugh-567 = Pannell-81, Pannell-82, and Pugh-589. They currently have nothing in common other than found as Public Trees behind a paywall. May I suggest looking for free sources for Tilmon or Henry as you uploaded and then working to source his wife. The different children shown with the currently different spouses are problematic. Are you familiar with all of the free sources through Family Search the LDS sponsored site?
Hi Chris, you recently detached William Sutton-79 from parents George Hutton & Sarah Tilden without posting any comments or adding anything to either profile discussing why this was done. George's profile contains a section on "Disputed Children" mentioning William specifically and George & Sarah are both project-managed profiles (by the PGM project).
In the spirit of collaboration will you please initiate a G2G forum question about this so people can weigh in on whether they should remain connected with the existing note that the relationship is considered uncertain? Thanks.
Elizabeth LeFevre LeFarre is not the wife of James Bryant Bryant-905. She should be FIRST detached from this Bryant-905 and all his children.
Secondly, her biography should be completely cancelled.
Then she should be merged into:

This solves a lot of mysteries!
Do you all agree?
Spring clean a thon 2017 has brought about the oddities surrounding my Cary/Carey 10th generation, and the issues surrounding dates of death being too early for some of his children and whether he is the proper father. This also affects Cary-668, Cary-397, 398, and 399, also Carey-705, 706, 707, and 708.We need some expert help and possibly more DNA data and expertise. My father and I both have DNA profiles/test. Any help appreciated, thanks, Mark
Hi, Chris. I ran across some of your recent merges, and saw some oddities that make me think you may be having trouble with the intricacies of the merge function. I've followed the general rule that if something doesn't look right on the merge screen or when I compare the profiles, I back out and don't complete the merge until I'm sure everything is OK. (I don't want to accidentally merge the wrong pair of people, accidentally remove valid marriage dates, etc.) I suggest you do the same, since merges can't be reversed.
Gilbert-1694 - You merged a man named Thomas Gilbert into a woman named Bobbie Gilbert. That looks like an error. Will you need help to restore their two profiles?
Braswell-344 - Your merge appropriately removed her as her own mother, but notes indicate that Braswell was her married name, not her maiden name. That means that Braswell should not be the LNAB on this profile. When we merge profiles with bad LNABs, it's best to correct the LNAB first. Will you need help on changing her LNAB?
Collins-3285 - A profile for Mary and a profile for Elizabeth have been combined, with no indication of why. Is this a mistake? If you have information indicating that these are both the same person (perhaps her name was "Mary Elizabeth"?), that needs to be documented in the text section of the profile. Right now, the profile data shows her name as Elizabeth and the text says she was Mary, which makes it look like these are two different people.
Would you please have a look at Burwell-115, and see whether you think it could be merged? Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you in advance. My best,
Cynthia
Hi Chris, I see that you are working on some McCord genealogy? I have started a "McCord Name Study" project and hope that you might check it out, leave comments, ask questions, etc. thanks,
You may not be aware of this, but there are some outstanding merge proposals awaiting your approval. In the last few months there have been improvements to the site that have facilitated the merging process. I have found these new tools to be fantastic for tracking merges and improving our shared family tree.
Choose Pending Merges from the Find menu in the top right-hand corner of your WikiTree page
There is a link part way down the page: NEW Merge proposals awaiting action from you. If you click on that, it will give you the list of proposals.
Your help in this will be much appreciated! Thank you.
You are the profile manager of many of James Parker's relatives. Many of the duplicate profiles are abandoned. Do you want to adopt them and complete the merges?
Thank you for supporting WikiTree.
Hope you saw my request to join the trusted list of Deborah (Long) Skinner (abt.1670-).
I'll complete the merge of what is now an unmerged match. --Gene
