Biography

Hannah Williams, born 17 Jun 1753, was the eighth child of Martha Wheeler and William Williams of Stonington, Connecticut.

Note: Wheeler lists 2 daughters of these parents with given name Hannah, the first born 24 May 1749, the second one born before the first died in 1762. This is unusual, and prompts the question of the veracity of the 1762 death date of the first; possibly that may be a typographical error, with 1752 as a more plausible alternative, in which case this Hannah Williams was probably a namesake of her earlier born sister.

This Hannah Williams married 03 Aug 1777, Stonington, Connecticut, Amos Denison; in addition to their 8 children profiled herein, this couple also had a son Jesse Denison (1785 - 24 Nov 1787) who died in early childhood.

Hannah (Williams) Denison died 19 Aug 1829 at North Stonington, Connecticut.

Williams-13026 and Williams-1607 appear to represent the same person because: Same actuarials, spouse, geography, etc. These are the same person, entered in duplicate by different profile managers at different times. There are several others in this family that likewise should be merged.
