DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:

I have a DNA match to Isham Williams son of Burrell and probable brother of Johnson Williams and was told their is proof somewhere that Johnson married Malinda Mills before marrying to Judith thornton. Malinda Williams then later married a smith. all I need is sources to prove this.

theory of relativity... possible son of first marriage of johnson williams who married malinda Mills. Melinda Williams then later married a smith, and would have been Melinda Smith when her son James married.

second wife was judith thornton in 1823ish. melinda and Johnson Williams probably divorced after the baby was born and Melinda remarried and moved away.
