Thomas Jefferson Williams was born on May 3, 1814 in Pendleton County, Kentucky, United States. He was the son of Thomas Williams and Nancy Melvina Sanders.[1]
He married Nancy Bean on September 4, 1842 in Adams County Illinois.[2][3][4] They had one child.
His wife Nancy went with other Mormons to Nauvoo, Illinois, it is said that Thomas refused to go as he was not a member of the church, and they got a divorce. Custody of their daughter was granted to Thomas, and so their only child was sent to live with Thomas in Illinois.
He married Margaret Ann McClelland in about 1845. They had two children.
Maria Williams was born in 1847.
Eliza Williams was born in 1850.
Thomas passed away at an age of thirty-eight on May 20, 1852 in Bloomfield, Adams County, Illinois. He is buried in the New Providence Cemetery in Ursa, Adams County, Illinois.[6]
