Biography

Sarah was born in 1832 in Monroe County, Tennessee, United States. She was the daughter of William Williams and Tryphena Millsaps. She passed away in 1865 in Graham County, North Carolina and is buried in Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery, Graham County.^[1]

Sarah married John Brownlow Carringer about 1852 in Cherokee County, North Carolina. They had children:

1. William Riley Carringer, 1853-1939
2. Modena P Carringer, 1855-1904
3. Mary Ann Carringer, 1857-1923
4. Elizabeth Tryphenia Carringer, 1859-1947^[2]
5. Louiza Carringer, 1864-1947^[3]
