Solomon Williams, the son of Rev. William Williams, Jr. and Hannah (Stoddard) Williams, was born in Weston, Middlesex County, Massachusetts on October 25, 1728.[1][2] He studied medicine and became the first physician for the newly formed town of Salisbury, Connecticut.[3][4] His career, and life, were cut short when he died in Salisbury on November 5, 1757, at the age of 29.[3][5] There is no record of his being married or having children. He is buried in the Lower Ceremony, in North Canaan, Connecticut.[6]
