She married Thomas Garnier, son of D'Jalma Thomas Garnier and Florence (Nabonne) Garnier, circa 1940. [2][3]
She and Thomas Garnier lived in 1942 at Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.[3]
Louisa died on 7 June 2013 at River Region Hospice, River Ridge, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana and was buried at Resthaven Memorial Park, New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana.[1]

Louisa Ganier departed this life on June 7, 2013 at River Region Hospice in River Ridge, LA. Beloved daughter of the late Victoria and Eddie Williams Loving wife of the late Thomas Ganier, Sr. Mother of Davis Ganier of New York, Thomas Ganier (Grace) of Atlanta, GA., Milton Ganier (Cassandra) of Montgomery, AL., Shelia Williams, (Thomas), of Ind. and Philip Ganier (Cheryl) of NOLA. Sister of Beatrice Thomas of New Iberia, LA; also Preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters; also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Church of Christ 7301 Crowder Blvd. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. until funeral time.
