Claude R. Williams was born in November 1889; the son of Frank and Jennie Potter Williams. He was born in Clarendon, NY and moved to Batavia, NY when he was 8 years old. He worked as a machinist for a rubber tire factory. He died May 2, 1909 after a five week illness involving his kidneys. He was in the Batavia Hospital when he died. He was 20 years old.
