Biography

Claude R. Williams was born in November 1889; the son of Frank and Jennie Potter Williams. He was born in Clarendon, NY and moved to Batavia, NY when he was 8 years old. He worked as a machinist for a rubber tire factory. He died May 2, 1909 after a five week illness involving his kidneys. He was in the Batavia Hospital when he died. He was 20 years old. He was buried in the Elmwood cemetery in Batavia." Summery of his obituary: The Daily News. Batavia, NY. May 3, 1909 edition.
