Birth

Rebecca Cecilia Williams, called Becky, was born on 20 January 1873 in Pleasant Hill, Lane, Oregon, United States to Elias Pitzer Williams (1837-1921) and Gertrude Hutchison (1849-1930).[1]

Her parents emigrated to Oregon in 1853.

Siblings

  1. Theodocia Ann Williams, known as Anna, was born on 17 December 1868 in Pleasant Hill, Lane, Oregon, United States. She married Archie Herschel Mathews (1866-1941) in 1897. Anna died on 29 December 1913 in Dexter, Lane, Oregon, United States.
  2. Ethelda Jane Williams, known as Etha, was born on 19 March 1871 in Lost Valley, Lane, Oregon, United States. She married John Andrew Titus (1857-1910) on 29 April 1893 in Lane County, Oregon. Etha died on 7 November 1963 in Eugene, Lane, Oregon, United States.
  3. Perry Herbert Williams was born on 25 October 1874 in Lane County, Oregon, United States. He married Alta Bessie Funk (1879-1968) on 19 December 1903 in Baker County, Oregon. Perry died on 6 November 1949 in Springfield, Lane, Oregon, United States.
  4. Etta Williams was born on 20 April 1876 in Lost Valley, Oregon, United States. She married Charles Elwood McPheeters (1871-1933) c. 1902 as she says she was 26 when married. Etta died on 19 March 1945 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, United States.
  5. Grover Williams was born on 22 March 1878 in Dexter, Lane, Oregon, United States. He died on 10 June 1898 in the same place.
  6. Ora Louise Williams was born on 3 March 1884 in Lost Valley, Lane, Oregon, United States. She married Marion Paris Fraley (1888-1956) on 29 July 1911 in Eugene, Lane, Oregon. Ora died on 14 February 1981 in Madras, Jefferson, Oregon, United States.
  7. Scott Marshall Williams was born on 20 December 1885 in Eugene, Lane, Oregon, United States. He married Ruth Esther Regan (1897-1978) in 1920 in San Diego County, California. Scott died on 25 October 1947 in San Diego, San Diego, California, United States
  8. Rodney Harrison Williams was born on 15 September 1892 in Lost Valley, Lane, Oregon, United States. Rodney died on 29 February 1956 in Sacramento, Sacramento, California, United States.

Marriages and Families

She was married twice.

  1. William Daniels Keeney (1856-1930) on 19 March 1893. Due to alcohol problems, he deserted his wife and family and became a sheep herder in the Steen Mountain area of eastern Oregon for the rest of his life until son Walter came to get him just before William died and took him by ambulance to his own farm to live with the family until his death. He and Rebecca divorced in 1900.[2]
  2. Harland Hasque Robberson, called Hardy or Harda, (1867-1939) on 20 April 1901 in Lane County, Oregon. He had 3 children from a previous marriage to Anna R. McCubbins (1875-1900) m. 1892. His children by McCubbins were Elva Estella (1893-1939), Etha Bell (1899-1982, Vena Argyle (1900-1988). He and Rebecca divorced.

  1. Walter Willard Keeney was born on 27 November 1893 in Goshen, Lane, Oregon, United States. He married Merthi Ann Bowen (1896-1982) on 7 December 1918 in Astoria, Clatsup, Oregon. Walter died on 12 October 1978 in Springfield, Lane, Oregon, United States.
  2. Gertrude Ruth Keeney was born on 14 August 1895 in Goshen, Lane, Oregon, United States. She married 1) Marion Eustace Fraley (1890-1982) c. 1915, they divorced and 2) Charles Arthur Jensvold (1886-1931) on 22 December 1922 in Vancouver, Clark, Washington.
