[1] In the name of God Amen I Henry Williams of Cumberland Valley Township Bedford County Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being in good health and perfect memory (Blessed be God there for) do this twentieth day of November one thousand eight hundred and eleven, make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) Im---- mis. I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God, who gave it me, and my body to the earth from whence it came, in hope of a joyfull resurrection through the merrits of my saviour Jesus Christ and as for that worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me I dispose thereof as follows after my funeral expences and just debts are fully paid and discharged
Item: I allow and desire my beloved wife Rachel to divide the bedding and bed clothes equally between herself and my daughters now at home (to witt) Elizabeth Williams, Rebecca Williams, Rachel Williams, Mary Williams, Elenor Williams. The above named property to be equally divided by and between my beloved wife Rachel, and my beloved daughters above named my dearly beloved wife Rachel to have the casse of drawers during her natural life and at her decease, they shall become my beloved daughter Elenor Williams.
Next I order all the moveable property (except what I give to my son John Williams to be sold and the money thereof to be equally divided between my beloved wife Rachel, and my four beloved daughters, to witt Elizabeth Williams, Rebecca Williams, Rachel Williams, Mary Williams, and Elenor Williams
Item: I give to my son John Williams my clock, desk, wagon, geers, plow, harrows, wind-mill, together with all the farming utensils that I possess.
Item: I order that all my lands be sold for ready money and the one third part thereof to put out for interest, the interest to be applied for the support of my beloved wife Rachel until her death, and then the principal shall be equally divided among my eight with only this exception that my daughter Margaret Hammer part of the dividend shall be fifty one pounds three shillings Pennsylvania currrency less than any other one of her sisters, to Hannah Heaney, one equal part, to Sarah Smith, one equal part, to Margaret Hammer fifty one pounds three shillings like money aforesaid less than her sisters or anyone of them, to Elizabeth Williams, one equal part, to Rebecca WIlliams, one equal part, to Elenor Williams, one equal part,
Item: I give to my son John Williams the one third part of the price of all my lands
Item: the last and remaining third part of the price of my land I desire may be divided amongst my eight daughters above named and by the rule therelaid down with only this explanation thereof (that is to say) in my whole estate my daughter Margaret Hammers part or portion shall be fifty one pounds three shillings current money of Pennsylvania less than any one of her sisters.
I desire that James and Hannah Heaney take my daughters Mary and Elenor and keep them until they are eighteen years of age by giving them what is reasonable; and lastly I appoint my beloved son John Williams and James Heaney executors of this my last will and testament.
In Witness whereof the said Henry Williams have hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year above written.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Henry Williams as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us whose names are under written and who did each of us subscribe our names as witnesses at his request and in his presence in the room where he then was.
