Reeder enlisted in the US Army on Jul 26, 1918, in Selmer, Tennessee. He was in the 157th Dep Brig as a Pvt. He serviced overseas from Sep 14, 1918, to Dec 16, 1918, and was considered 100% disabled at discharge on Aug 5, 1919.[1]
Reeder had shell shock or Post Traumatic Syndrome after the war and lived in the Veteran's home in Rutherford County.[2] He is buried at Shiloh National Military Park in Hardin County, Tennessee.[3]
Reeder died on 13 Dec 1964 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford, Tennessee aged 67. He is buried in Shiloh National Cemetery, Shiloh, Tennessee.
