The Mary Williams (01 Sep 1706 - after April 1771), of Mecklenburg Co., VA or Granville Co., NC, who was the daughter of John Williams and Mary Keeling is "said to be" the second wife of Henry Graves (b. bef. 1694 - d. bef. Feb 1749) of colonial Hanover Co., VA.[1]
Mary's birth date of 1706 comes from a letter from Jno. D. Williams of Laurens District, SC to Dr. Alexander Williams of Greeneville Courthouse, Tennessee, dated 17 June 1845.[2]
The best documented research I have seen on Mary Williams and Henry Graves comes from Evelyn Wallace's WILLIAMS, GRAVES and DANIEL Families, and according to her, Mary Williams and Henry Graves had four sons and three daughters:
Henry who married Rachel ____ and whose will was proved Aug 1797 in Granville Co.
William who married Mary ____ and whose will was proved May 1786 in Granville Co.
John who may be the John Williams Graves who left a 1789 will in Granville Co.
Elijah who may be the Elijah who left a 1799 will in Mecklenburg Co.
dau. ____ who married John Christmas
Elizabeth, b. 1741, who married Joshua Coffee and had a son b. 1772, Gen. John Coffee "of Tennessee" who married Mary Donelson, whose sister Rachel was wife of Andrew Jackson

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
I tried to approve this merge but I am not one of the profile managers, nor am I on either profile's trusted list so the WikiTree software will not allow it. I will continue to work on what I can on John's profile but it will be somewhat difficult to nibble around the edges until we get the children straight. I will also post this message in an additional place or two so hopefully we will attract the attention of the appropriate persons soon.
There does not appear to be any source - other than an unsupported Ancestry.com import - for the 1708 birth date or the 1762 death date of the Mary Williams who was the daughter of John Williams and Mary Keeling. Please approve the merge Williams-24444 into Williams-3226, using the data from the latter.

Williams-26257 and Williams-3226 appear to represent the same person because: Williams-26257 and Williams-3226 appear to represent the same person because: Both those people marriage the same person and have the same name. Looks like candidates for a merge if noone has evidence to proof that is not the case...
Williams-3226 and Williams-21234 appear to represent the same person because: Mary Williams-3226 is an orphaned profile that says she's the daughter of John Williams and Mary Keeling. Her birth and death dates are different than yours, but since her profile contains no other relatives, recommend merging and retaining your birth, death & marriage info.
