DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

I am disconnecting Richard Williams and Frances Deighton has his parents. Richard's 1686 will says that his eldest son was Samuel (who was bpt in Feb 1636/7). See TAG 10:26, available on americanancestors.org. He had a son named Thomas but Thomas was born in Taunton about 1645.

There is no reliable evidence that this profile's Thomas is the son of Richard Williams and Frances Deighton. In fact, all sources suggest that he is NOT - eg fact that many reliable sources say that Richard and Frances had a son named Thomas born about 1645. Unless someone can produce reliable evidence for Richard and Frances as his parents, they should be disconnected.

Williams-3314 isn't the son of Williams-1115. Note this profile claims the unlikely scenario that Williams-1115 had two sons named Thomas. The correct son of Williams-1115 who was named Thomas is Williams-1928.

I haven't studied Williams-3314, but this site says he is the son of Abraham Williams b. 1578 in Wotton-Under-Edge: https://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=lwilliams&id=I6

This error also explains the problems described in the comments below about "Kimberly" being part of the name. See also alternate scenario described in the Biography which seems more likely to be true than that Richard Williams had two sons named Thomas.

Williams-39521 and Williams-3314 appear to represent the same person because: Please merge these two profiles for Thomas Williams. They have the same death date. Thank you!

No sources show "Kimberly" as the name of Thomas Williams or his father

The following sources do not show "Kimberly"

1. TAG vol 34, page 160 does not reference Thomas' parentage at all

2. Sources 589, 590, 591 and 592 all link to ads or broken links.

3. Remainder are trees, not sources.

4. NEHGS and TAG show Thomas Williams is the father of Thomas Williams. 1645 - 1679, parents for Thomas Williams Sr. are unknown

5. ? Abel Knight of Guilford County, NC is about Quaker families in Pennsylvania after 1682, no entry for "Kimberly"

6. Rootsweb footnote referencing Stiles/Adams in "History of Ancient Wethersfield Connecticut," has Thomas Williams dying in Stratford CT in 1672. Not a reliable or credible.

Is there any EVIDENCE of parents being Richard and Frances Williams?

The location and date of Thomas Williams' birth is unknown, as of 2004 when his biography was written by Gale Ion Harris, F.A.S.G. and Norman W. Ingham.

He was not born at Rocky Hill.

Rocky Hill was a later outgrowth of Wethersfield, and Wethersfield wasn't settled until 1634.

Thomas Williams eventually owned property at Rocky Hill, was thought to be one of the earliest settlers of that area.

See the source on Williams-4043 for details of Williams' property ownership and land transfers. It can be obtained from a public library, or Ancestry.com or NEHGS online.

Williams-25972 and Williams-4043 appear to represent the same person because: see the sources on Williams-4043 for the sourced facts on the Thomas Williams who died in Wethersfield 1692.
Williams-28553 and Williams-4043 appear to represent the same person because: the Thomas Williams who died in Wethersford before 28 Feb 1692/3 - date of inventory - (Hartford District Probate, file 6100, Connecticut State Library), married Rebecca Waterhouse (Watrous), and did not have a daughter Elizabeth born about the same year as himself. Please see sources on Williams-4043.
According to his 2004 biography by Gale Ion Harris, F.A.S.G. and Norman W. Ingham, pub. TAG 79:44, Thomas Williams was born about 1630, and married about 1656, Elizabeth Williams could not be his daughter if she was born in 1633. He lived his life in Wethersfield, CT, and she was born and died in England.

Elizabeth Williams should be disconnected from Thomas Williams-4043, and his wife Rebecca, whose last name at birth was Waterhouse, see Waterhouse-60 and its sources.

Why would this man have the last name of Kimberly and his children are named Williams? I don't think this is a son of Thomas Kimberly and Alice Atwood. They did have a Thomas, but this is not the person. The Thomas who was the son died in New Haven in February 1705 and married Hannah Russell. There were 6 children. Abrahan, Thomas, Mary, Nathaniel, Eleazer and Abiah.
