She married Emmett E. Bowling on December 23, 1933, in Salem, Virginia. They had eight children in 13 years, although, a daughter, Evelyn died as an infant.
Angie (affectionally called, MaMa) died on April 14, 2001, in Martinsville, Virginia, at the age of 85[3][4], and was buried in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, Virginia.[5].
