Andrew served in the U.S. Navy from January 2, 1945 to February 18, 1948.^[4]

On August 4, 2010, Grover died in Augusta, Georgia.^[5] He is buried at Mountain View Baptist Church #2 Cemetery in Morganton, North Carolina.^[6]
