Biography

Caroline was born about 1813. She was the daughter of Thomas Williams and Mary Broom.

Caroline married William Frederic Rennie in 1835 and they had three children Mary Broom Rennie, David James Rennie and Caroline Broom Rennie

Her daughter Mary married John Bowring and one of her sons, Frederick was born in 1857 in Newfoundland but came to live and work in Liverpool England. He worked for the family shipping line "Bowring Steam Ships Co." and the "Red Cross Line". "Uncle" Frederick (Fred) was a great friend to my grandmother Elizabeth and her father Lancelot. Frederick also became Lord Mayor of Liverpool for 2 years towards the end of his life.
