Mt Hawthorn Motes.
(By Advance.)
This district has lost another resident in tragic circumstances. Last Friday evening Mr. William Williams, of Coogee-street, was fatally injured in the Perth Railway Yards, after completing his day's work. The deceased was an elderly man, and had been about 12 years in the employ of the Railway Department, and it appears that while he was walking between two rows of trucks he was struck by one of the moving vans.
First-aid was rendered, and the sufferer was conveyed to "the Perth Public Hospital, but he died shortly after admission and before his; wife couldreach the institution. The late Mr. Williams was a sterling unionist, and was the father of Harry Williams (of the Brewery Union), and the late Private Tom Williams (Furniture Trades Union), killed at Pozieres about seven months ago; and father-in-law of Sid Allen (Goldfieids Typo. Union), and Private Charlie Pittard (Brewery Union), now on active service in France. The sincerest sympathy is extended to Mrs. Williams and her grown-up family.
