Biography

He was born on 22 Dec 1891 in Macedonia, Lowndes County, Alabama, USA and his parents were Martha Ann (Autry) and Irvin Polk Williams (1835-1909). ^[1]

During World War I he served in the Army, in France and received an Honorable Discharge.

Elonzo "Lon" Huble Williams married on 12 Nov 1916 in Starlington, Butler County, Alabama, USA to Jesse Lillybelle "Lilly" Skipper (1898-1955) and they were members of Mt.Olive Baptist Church in Butler County, Alabama, USA.

He worked as a farmer and railroad engineer.

About 1930 he was hospitalized and treated for facial paralysis and a brain aneurysum at the Veteran's Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, USA.

In the autumn of 1934 he moved his family moved from Alexandria, Louisiana to Greenville, Alabama, USA.

He worked for the W. T. Smith Lumber Company in Alabama, USA.

He married secondly on 12 Sep 1942 in Wilcox County, Alabama to Ola Till (1909-2000) and they were members of Hopewell Methodist Church in Wilcox County, Alabama, USA.

He was a Freemason and named his youngest son "Hiram" after the builder of King Solomon's Temple.

He passed away on 23 Oct 1970 in McWilliams, Wilcox County, Alabama, USA.
