Hi!

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Shirley ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi there, looking forward to participating and contributing to your site. Have a paternal ancestor John Williams who left Gravesend, England on Nov 08, 1820 on the ship Emerald and arrived in Hobart Town on Mar 13, 1821. That was the start of my family in Australia but know little about him other than he was 25 when he was married in Oct 1823 in Hobart and he was drowned by a whale after he harpooned it but the rope was caught around his leg and he was taken over the side. Would be nice to turn something up on him as he seems to be a dead end otherwise. Have 23andme tests on 4 generations.
