RAINSBORO. July 31st, 1893.
&nbps; Mr, John Williams, a highly respected citizen, died at the home of his son-in-law, John Koger, on the 26th inst., at the ripe old age of 86 years, 1 month and 20 days. He formerly resided near North Union, but came here about 7 years since. He leaves an aged companion with whom he has shared life's joys and sorrows for 57 years. He was a worthy member of the Dunkard Church, near Elmville, and his body now sleeps in the cemetery in the vicinity where the active days of his life were spent and near by the house where he worshiped and communed with his brethren when circumstances would permit for nearly 40 years. Research Notes
At some point this profile was connected as a father of John Williams, but this was most likely in error. The son of this John Williams was born in Ohio and was white. These profiles appear to be conflated on Family Search and perhaps that is where the original error was made. There is no source to indicate that these two men were father and son.
