Biography

Nellie Rose Williams was born in 1883 in Snodland, Kent, England to John Thomas Williams and Rosetta (England) Williams. Her birth was registered in Malling, Kent in the third quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name England.^[1]

In 1891 Nelly Rose Williams (age 7, Scholar) lived at Bull Field in Snodland with her father John (40, Barge Man), mother Rose (37), and five siblings: Thomas (13, Barge Man), William (12, Scholar), Daisy (5, Scholar), Edward J (3, Scholar), and Harry A (0).^[2]

In 1901 Nelly R Williams (age 19, Housemaid) lived at Constitution Crescent in Milton, Kent in the household of Bernard E Bishop.^[3]

Nellie Rose Williams married Arthur Girling in 1907. The marriage was registered in Medway, Kent in the third quarter of the year.^[4]
