Biography

Maj. Edward Payson Williams was born on 26 Feb 1746 in Roxbury, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony to parents Jeremiah Williams Sr. and Catherine Payson. He married Sarah Craft on 24 May 1772 in Roxbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Children: Sally Gilbert, Priscilla. He died about 1777 in Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Major Edward Williams served with 24th Continental Regiment, Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Edward served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. He fought in the Battle of Lexington as a Corporal in the 3rd Company of the Roxbury Minutemen.
