Mollie first appeared in records in Oklahoma's First Territorial Census in 1890. She was a 16 year old married to James Wiley King (b.1854). James and his mother, Mary Melissa Prince King Huff, (b. 1835), had participated in the 1889 Oklahoma Land Run.[1] Is it possible that Mollie was the daughter of David Williams?
According to family tradition, Mollie was of Native American lineage, possibly full blood, but the exact amount isn't known.[2]
In 1900, James and Mollie were in Mustang Township, Oklahoma Territory.[3]
According to the 1910 Oklahoma Census, she was married in about 1888.
