Biography
Penelope was born in 1840 to Walter Williams and Amelia Green.
Penelope Williams married Benjamin Allen Staton. In 1870, they were living in Blue Ridge, Henderson County, North Carolina. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
They had thirteen children:
- James Pinkney Staton (1859-1860)
- John Franklin Staton (1861-1943)
- Mary Jane (Staton) Morrison (1863-1937)
- Balus Walker Staton (1864-1965)
- Martha Matilda Staton (1866-1960)
- Susanna Staton (1868-1887)
- Milly Staton (1869-aft.1880)
- Perry Henry Staton (1871-1959)
- Lena Elizabeth (Staton) Burleson (1873-1966)
- Sallie Louise (Staton) Drake (1877-1975)
- Tunie Estelle (Staton) Smith (1878-1982)
- Cynthia Melinda (Staton) Williams (1882-1976)
- Margaret Victoria (Staton) Brown (1885-1967)
