Biography

Sarah Williamson was the daughter of John Williamson. When the heirs of John sold 280 acres of land in Brunsick Co VA to George Mabry in 1742, one of the signers of the deed was "Sarah Mabry". She has been assigned to both George Mabry & George Mabry Jr, but I think it has to be the older George.
BRUNSWICK CO VA DEEDS, Vol 1 1732-1745; Dr. Stephen E. Bradley, Jr., 1997
p.69 DB 2, p.204 2 Dec 1742 Hollum Sturdivant & his wife Elizabeth of Surry Co; John Rottenburry & his wife Susanna of same; Henry Ledbetter & his wife Edeth of Brunswick Co; Richard Fox & his wife Hannah alias Joanna; and Sarah Mabry sell to George Mabry of St. Andrew Parish in Brunswick Co for £30, 280 acres. The tract had been a patent to John Williamson dated 18 Feb 1722 & at his death fell to his daughters Elizabeth Sturdivant, Susanna Rottenburry, Edith Ledbetter, Hannah Fox, & Sarah Mabry. On S side Nottoway River joining the N side Rocky Run. Wit: M. Cadet Young, Moses Dunkley. Proved 2 Dec 1742.
[Sarah could not be selling this land to her husband. As her husband, it would already belong to him in "her right". She also would not be selling land as a married female. If she was married to the young George, and selling to the father, young George would have had to sign the deed as did the other husbands. This is evidently the granddaughter, as heir of John Williamson, selling this land to her father.]
Here is the original Patent:

John Williamson died seized of 175 acres on S side of Nottoway [granted to sd Williamson on 13 Oct 1727 and which land descended at his death to his son Cuthbert Williamson who died intestate and the land then descended to Elizabeth Sturdivant the wife of Hollum Sturdivant, Edith Leadbetter the wife of Henry Leadbetter, Hannah Fox the wife of Richard Fox, Sarah Mabry, daughter of Sarah Mabry, late wife of George Mabry, and Susannah Rottenbury the wife of John Rottenbury as coheirs] Hollum Sturdivant & wife Elizabeth Sturdivant and Mary [sic] Mabry now sell their 2/5 part of the tract to John Rottenbury. Signed: Hollum (x) Sturdivant, Elizabeth (x) Sturdivant, Sarah (X) Mabry. Wit: James Rae, Thomas Clarke, & Robt Jones Jr. Rec. 21 Jan 1746
[Surry Co DB 4, 1741-1746]
An abstract of this deed apparently appears as "Sarah Mabry late wife of George Mabry without mentioning the daughter. It would seem that Sarah has died and her spouse was a George Mabry - they had a daughter also named Sarah.

Williamson-1086 and Williamson-5348 appear to represent the same person because: Sarah was the daughter of John Williamson - she married George Mabry and had one child, a daughter also named Sarah, before her death.
