William wrote his will Oct. 1767 in old Craven Co. NC. Owned land in Kingtree, SC and acreage on Black River of the same area. Owned land on Bear Creek in Johnston Co. NC. Legatees in will: wife Mary, James, William, Thomas, Benjamin, John, Mary, Susannah and Martha "Patsy. Witnesses to will-William Smith, Gideon Parrish, John Gess
