William and his wife Helena Terhune are named in the DAR Patriot Index. His father Samuel Williamson was a patriot during the American Revolution. He paid the supply tax in 1782 as per New Jersey Tax Ratables and his property suffered depreciation by the British and Americans 1776-1782. [2]
