Mungo was born on September 10, 1885. ^[1] He appears as a member of the Joseph Williamson household in the 1891^[2], 1901 and 1911 ^[3] Canadian Census'

Mungo was drafted into service May 1, 1918. According to his "Particulars of Recruit" form ^[4] he was living in Mount Forest Ontario and identified Mount Forest as his place of birth. He was listed as single. His trade was listed as Miner & Prospector. Next of kin was listed as "Rilla Williamson" (Marula ) (It isn't certain but this may indicate that his father (Joseph Williamson) may have died before he was recruited. Burns-4966 21:30, 5 September 2015 (EDT)) The form describes Mungo as 5' 8" in height, with a dark complexion, blue eyes and dark hair.
