Biography

Burr G. Williamson, age 75, of Canton, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008. He was born on October 29, 1932, in Walthill, Nebraska, to the late Leroy and Hazel Williamson. Burr retired from Republic Steel after many years of service. He attended Dueber United Methodist Church and was a member of Trinity Lodge 710 and Scottish Rites. Burr is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Helen Williamson; two sons, Bruce Williamson of Canton and Stephen (Carole) Williamson, and three granddaughters, Kristen, Rebecca and Alyssa, all of Maryland; and one brother, Maurice Williamson of Texas. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 2pm in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Dr. Chester Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123).
