Biography

Educated at Kirkenbright Academy. Entered Bank of Scotland 1850. Arrived Victoria, Australia in 1851. Pastoral experience with uncle T. McGill. Joined Union Bank in 1852. Became manager of the Ballarat branch. Later Inspector. Returned to England in 1878. Returned to Victoria in 1882.
