Biography

John Williamson was born in 1780, the actual location possibly North or South Carolina, current information is conflicting[1].

Family tradition dictates that he was from Sampson County, NC. Also, there is some question as to whether Lemuel and Margaret Williamson were his parents.

He married Elizabeth Sullivan.

In 1850, they lived in Emanuel County, Georgia with their children Samuel, Kiley, George, and John[2].

He died in 1851 in Emanuel County, Georgia, and was buried in Old Williamson Cemetery (lost) Emanuel County, Georgia<reef name="FAG"/>.
