Andrew J. Williamson served in the Georgia House of Representatives for the county of Montgomery in 1853 and 1854.
He served as executor to his father's estate and 4 November 1858 a bill was introduced to the Georgia legislature to authorize him to sell his father's property[3].

They lived in Montgomery County in 1860 with children James, John, Jackson, Dicy, Sarah, Mary A., Nancy, Terry Ann, Drewry, George, Josephine, and a 23-year-old man named Henry Wilkes[4]. In 1870 they were still in Montgomery with their children Theresa, Steely, George M., Josephine, Milliard M., Victoria, Alexander and a twenty-year-old man named John Kersey[5]. 1880 finds the family in Emanuel County, Georgia with Steely, Millard, Victoria, Steely's wife Theresa, and their son Felix[6]. They lived with their son Alex and his family in Emanuel County[7].
(NOTE: Actually there were 16 children to reach maturity -- Victoria Anderson had died before her father. Also, the one named as "Mellie Phillips" would be Millicent Gillis.)
He was mentioned in the death records of his children Sarah Jane Wilkes[10] and Theresa Calhoun[11] in 1920, A.W. Gillis[12] in 1921, Nancy Corbin[13] in 1926, Dicy Phillips[14] in 1930, Mollie Autry[15] in 1932, Elizabeth Phillips[16] in 1934, and Alexander Stephen Williamson in 1956[17].
