Aunt Eugie raised my mother, Jean Jett. My sister and I spent many pleasant summer hours at her house. There was a cherry tree in the side yard. we would climb the tree and eat cherries until we could eat no more. At nap time I would listen to the old fashion clock on the night stand with its loud tick tock til I fell asleep. Our favorite treat was bread with butter sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. What wonderful memories.
