Araunah was born on 9 Aug 1818 in Rehoboth Bristol County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Araunah Willis and Lydia (Shaw) Willis.

He married Abigail L Newville.

He died on 25 Jan 1873 in Angelica, Allegany, New York. He was buried in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.^[1]
