John Byrd Willis[1] was born on September 13, 1927[2], in Orange, New Jersey, the child of Richard Willis[3] and Elizabeth Harris[4]. He married Anne Hunter on September 12, 1954. They had one child during their marriage. He died on January 21, 1983[5], in Maplewood, New Jersey, at the age of 55, and was buried in Toms River, New Jersey.
