William Starke Willis [1]was born on April 10, 1872, in Grenada, Mississippi, the child of Randolph Willis and Rosalie Willis. He married Maud Mays on June 25, 1896[2], in his hometown. He died on March 22, 1924, in his hometown at the age of 51, and was buried in the Willis Cemetery in Gore Springs, Mississippi[3].
