Catherine Daingerfield Willis was born the 17th of August, 1803, in Fredericksburg, Virginia; the 2nd child of Byrd Charles Willis and Mary Lewis[1]. She married twice, firstly at the early age of thirteen, to Atcherson Gray, who died with in 12 months of their marriage[2], she married secondly, on July 11, 1826, in Leon, Florida, Achille Murat. She died on August 6, 1867, in Tallahassee, Florida, at the age of 63, and was buried in Virginia[3].
