In 1746, the town of Nixonton laid out in Pasquotank County on a site along the Little River originally known as "Windmill Point." It was incorporated in 1758 as Nixon’s Town, named for Zachariah Nixon, an early settler and prominent Quaker.

Winslow (land at Grassie Point), Caleb Winslow (land known by the name of the Glade). Sons: Isaac and Silvanus. Daughter: Rachel Townsend. Granddaughters: Elisabeth and Mary Wilson (lands on Reedy Branch, etc.). Negroes bequeathed to granddaughters. Executor: Barnaby Nixon, Jacob Winslow. Witnesses: William, George and Elisabeth Wood. Clerk of the Court: Tho. Taylor. Executor: Barnaby Nixon, Jacob Winslow. Clerk of the Court: Tho. Taylor.

Based on this information it is obvious that this couple cannot be the parents of the brothers Robert, David, and Zacheus who are found in Mecklenburg County, as some have claimed.

Wilson-8944 and Wilson-4555 appear to represent the same person because: I believe that these two profiles are ready to merge. The only significant difference between the two is the birth place. One suggest Perquimans, NC based upon the location of the birth record. The other suggest Somerset PA with no apparent basis.

It would appear Ann ( Thigpen) > Woolard > Wilson would have been a step mother to Issac Wilson's children from his first wife ..but there is no familial relationship beyond her brief marriage to Issac Wilson.
