In 1861, John was 21 and living at home with his parents and five siblings. They were living in Middlesex. [4]
John and Charlotte had at least nine children. John Alfred was born in 1864. [6] Henry Charles was born in 1865. [7] Their third son, Reuben, was born in 1869. [8] Walter was born in 1871. [9] Frederick was born in 1873. [10] Alice was born in 1877. [11] Florence was born in 1878. [12] Richard was born in 1879. [13] Jessy Celia was born in 1885. [14]
In 1871, John and his wife lived in Middlesex. They were living with their first four children. John was working as a wood carver. [15]
In 1881, he and his wife still lived in Middlesex. They were living with seven children with ages ranging from 2 to 17. Their son Reuben had passed in 1877 when he was 8 years old. [16] John was working as a Cabinet Carver.[17]
It is possible that this is Charlotte's death record from 1892. [18] She was not included in John's census record from 1901.
In 1901, John was living with three of his children. He was working as a carver. [19]
Unable to find members of this family on any census in the following years: 1851, 1891 and 1911.
