Moses Winslow performed Patriotic Service in North Carolina in the American Revolution.

Moses Winslow is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A128842.

Moses Winslow/Winsley was born in Anson County (later became Rowan County), North Carolina on Oct 10, 1732. He is the son of Benjamin Winslow and Mary White.

He married Jean Osborn (1742-1795) in 1760 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Their children were Sarah Maria Winslow (1758–1864), Cynthia Winsley (1764–1815), Mary Winsley (1764–?), Roscinda R. Wilson (1775–1845), Dovey Wilson Winslow (1776–1801), Violet Winslow (1782–?), Cynthia Winslow (Unknown) and Mary Winslow (?–1840).

He had a sister Sarah Winslow McWhorter (1737-1783). He died on Oct 1, 1815 in Iredell County, North Carolina.[1]

Burial in October, 1815 at the Centre Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mooresville, Iredell County, North Carolina.

Moses provided political leadership during the Revolution. He was son of an early settler and son-in-law of Alexander Osborne. He was sent to the First Provincial Congress at New Bern, which met Aug 28, 1774. Later, after independence, he was to represent Rowan County twice in the North Carolina House of Commons.[2]

He provided service or was a soldier during the Revolutionary War.[3]
