Disambiguation: Donald Linus Jacobus presents documentation proving that Sarah Winthrop did not marry John Colver/Culver in The American Genealogist, Vol 22, page 107-110. Here is quoted the most pertinent section:
"On 2 November 1752, John Collver and Sarah his wife, of Roxbury, Morris county, sold for 5 pounds to Robert Collver of the same place, land in Middletown, Conn., the seventh part of a 26 pound right, which right "come by Sarah Insign"; the deed was acknowledged in New Jersey. On 25 Nov 1752 Robert Colver of "Roxbury, Morris county, in the West Jersies", for 4 pounds sold to Seth Wetmore, Esq. of Middletown, one-seventh of a right "that formerly belonged to the heirs of Sarah Insign, which I bought of my father John Culver, and Sarah his wife of Roxbury, which said Sarah was one of the Children and Heirs of the said Sarah Insign, alias Sarah Long, which said Sarah was one of the Children and Heirs of John Wilcock of said Middletown deceased." (Land Rec. Middletown, 14:328,329.)
"The relationships specified, while thoroughly exploding the Winthrop myth, are rather complicated." Here Jacobus goes into lengthy explanations of marriages and divorces. He concludes with "The records cited prove conclusively that the wife of John Culver, mother of Robert Culver, and ancestress of the Morris county Culvers, was Sarah Long."

Winthrop-108 and Winthrop-32 appear to represent the same person because: I have posted source documentation on the bulletin board of Winthrop-32 quoting Donald Lines Jacobus in Vol 22 page 107-110, proving that the wife Sarah of John Colver was in fact Sarah Long not Sarah Winthrop. Winthrop-32 needs to be separated from marriage with Colver-2 and then merged with Winthrop-108. For the good of WikiTree, thank you. April D.D.
