William A. “Buster” Wiseman, Age 87, died Saturday, January 18, 2003, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 21, at the First Baptist Church in Clayton with Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
“Buster” Wiseman was born on August 7, 1915, in Grenville, New Mexico, to Albert Wiseman and Ethel Estella (Nelson) Wiseman. Buster grew up in the Grenville area and quit school to help raise his younger brothers and sisters, then farmed and ranched before he entered the military. A veteran of WWII, Buster married Clyta Louise Mahannah on December 7, 1942, in Clayton, NM, and 3 weeks later entered the U. S. Army where he served until November 1945. His country and its flag were very important to Buster, and he was a 58 year member of the American Legion. He was a lifelong resident of Union County, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Clayton. In addition to his parents, Buster was preceded in death by 11 Brothers and Sisters.

1 DAUGHTER: Yvonne "Vonnie" Brozo and her husband Joe of Wolfforth, Texas.
2 SONS: Dewayne Wiseman and his wife Sherry of Smyer, Texas; and Ron Wiseman and his wife Judy of Clayton, NM.
1 BROTHER: Otho “Coke” Wiseman of Clayton, NM.
10 GRANDCHILDREN: Ja’nean Sproul and her husband Michael; Michelle Coll and her husband Jon; Ronell Montoya; Matthew Wiseman and his wife Alauna; Jana Wiseman; Amber Wiseman; Samantha Wiseman; Teresa Wiseman; Lisa Wiseman; and Randall Wiseman.
11 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Courtney, Hillary, Tiffany and Dawson Sproul; Jack, Noah and Rachel Coll; Robin and Hannah Montoya; Mattilyn and Zane Wiseman.
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Clayton or to the Union County General Hospital Auxiliary.
